The Monterey Bay Aquarium announces their new Open Sea Exhibit as part of their $19M renovation. It opens July 2. Aquarium visitors now have a chance for up-close viewing of green sea turtles and diving birds (my kids’ favorite). The new “Jelly Swarm Alcove” gives visitors a 3D experience that simulates what it might be like to swim among a school of jellyfish. Cool. The baby penguins are back too.
